Crane Face Researcher

An innovative system for identifying war criminals, searching for missing persons and prisoners of war

Issues.

Since the outbreak of full-scale war, Ukraine has faced a number of critical challenges:

  • Limited resources
    • The human and technical capacities of the search headquarters are being exhausted, especially under heavy workload.
    •  Manual data collection and analysis is slow, making it difficult to identify war criminals.
  • Data fragmentation
    • Lack of a single platform for working with large volumes of photo and video materials.
    • Data from open sources need to be systematized and analyzed quickly.
  • Time factor
    • Delays in analysis reduce the chances of timely detection of information.
  • Emotional pressure on families
    • Waiting for news about missing or captured persons is psychologically difficult for families.
  • Identification of war criminals
    • The lack of automated tools delays the justice process.

Solution.

Project goal: to create an automated tool for searching for missing persons, identifying war criminals and prisoners of war based on advanced artificial intelligence technologies.

Key components of the project

  • Face identification using computer vision
    •  Analyze photos and videos using face recognition algorithms.
    •  Highlight key characteristics for more accurate comparison.
  • Automatic comparison with databases
    •  Integration with open sources such as social networks, archives, and OSINT tools.
    •  Search for matches in the databases of prisoners of war and war criminals.
  • Quick access interface
    • Intuitive interface for quick results.
    •  Displaying potential matches and sources of information.
